SoCal Cabinet Refacing
Congrats on those brand new refaced cabinets! They may look awesome but how do you keep them looking that way? Don’t stress becuase I have some super easy tips to help you maintain and care for your cabinets, so they stay clean and fresh forever!.
You don’t need any fancy cleaners so save yourself that money all you need is to just mix some mild dish soap with warm water and give your cabinets a nice wipe down. When doing this you should avoid anything too harsh as this can scratch up the surface and ruin the cabinets.
When you’re opening and closing your cabinets, go easy on the handles. No need to yank or slam them. Being gentle will keep the hardware tight and prevent any damage. Your cabinets will thank you!
Moisture is the enemy! If you spill something I advise that you clean it up quickly especially around the sink and stove where things can get hot and filled with steam. Too much moisture can mess up the cabinet material and make it peel or warp. A quick wipe can save yourself from all of this.
Direct sunlight can fade your cabinet color over time, so if your kitchen gets a ton of sun, think about using curtains or blinds to protect them. It’s like sunscreen for your cabinets!
Every now and then, take a peek to make sure everything’s in good shape. Tighten any loose handles or hinges to ensure your cabinets are still in good shape. I also advise that you check to ensure the doors are still aligned. A little maintenance can go a very long way.
Keeping your refaced cabinets brand new can be very simple as all you need is just a bit of cleaning and being mindful of the cabinets environemnt. Enjoy your stunning kitchen and keep it looking fresh for years to come
